Severity: High Stop or minimize driving and get it looked at right away.
What it means
The parking brake is on, brake fluid is low, or there is a brake system fault.
Typical color: Red
Colors & variants
- Red BRAKE or (!) in a circle
- Together with ABS light: more serious brake fault
What to do
- Make sure the parking brake is fully released
- Check brake fluid level
- If fluid is low or the pedal feels soft, do not drive
